Previously known as BFC, our new name Valorosa®, was born out of Melissa's personal journey to reclaim her roots as a first-generation, non-Spanish speaking Salvadoran-American.

She is driven by the ability to represent her community without appropriation, to authentically bring nuanced, diverse stories to the forefront in a historically French, and Euro-centric industry, something all too familiar to her upbringing.
